Take my advice. I'm not using it lately
Over the past few months, I’m grateful to have had several inquiries as to where my content has gone as of late. As a professional business storyteller, I work with business and organizational leaders to tell their stories and to work with the media, so I can appreciate that while I proffer storytelling strategy and content, I’m not necessarily practicing what I preach as of late.
Gulp…
Reconnecting with my “why”
When I came back to Sound Strategy Communications Ltd. in 2021, a communications and content firm started by my partner, Lisa Saunders in 2006, one of my key objectives was to be of genuine service, sharing knowledge and ideas freely, without expectation of anything in return. That “why” also inspired the rationale for writing and publishing my first business book in 2022, Storytelling for Business – The Art and Science of Creating Connection in the Digital Age. While the challenges of owning and operating any small business exist for us, as they do others, I’m most grateful that business has indeed been good in 2024. However, while working in the busy-ness, I’ve lost sight of the greater good of working on the business, which includes producing and distributing my own complimentary content.
With humility, I appreciate the call-out. I recognize it’s coming from a good place.
Back in action
As you can (hopefully) see by the feature image, I’ve stepped back into the content studio, recently completed producing a year’s worth of content in late-2024. I’m looking forward to sharing and distributing my business storytelling content in a regular cadence of communication in 2025 through a few strategic channels of communication. As subscribers to my newsletter and updates, you will always receive my content first as a small token of my appreciation of your interest.
As always, please feel free to share any feedback on what you’re seeing and hearing, and if there’s anything I can share in the months ahead, let me know. And, thank you for your patience.
