The Why...

 

The immense power of storytelling never ceases to fascinate Rob Wozny – an established business communicator and storyteller with over 25 years of storytelling experience. Harnessing that indelible storytelling power to manifest the greater good for people in all aspects of their lives is why Rob has devoted his life’s work to business storytelling, including publishing his first business storytelling book in 2022.

 

Background in business storytelling

Rob has served in some of the most senior communications, content, and editorial roles, ranging from vice president (communications & content) / lead spokesperson for a major league sports and entertainment company (True North Sports and Entertainment, Winnipeg JetsCanada Life Centre) to senior lead news anchor / supervising producer in leading Canadian newsrooms (CTV NewsGlobal News).  Published author of two business, books Storytelling for Business and I’m Just Gerry, Rob's storytelling has been recognized by the Business Book Awards, Canadian Association of Broadcasters, and International Association of Fire Fighters.


Committed to professional development and excellence, Rob has earned the Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) designation from the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC). Rob holds a degree in Rhetoric, Writing & Communications, along with a diploma in Public Relations, and Certificate in Management (CIM) from the University of Winnipeg.

In alignment with his altruistic values of giving back to the community, he has served as a volunteer director on boards of non-profit organizations, including True North Youth Foundation, St. Boniface Minor Hockey Association, IABC Manitoba, and Champlain Community Centre with terms ranging from two to six years. Rob was also a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 10+ years.
